IONA COMMUNITY CENTER
June 13, 2018 6:30 P.M.
PRESENT: Chairman Jake Lindsay, Member Dee Johnson, Member John Lott, Member James
West, and Assistant Clerk Heather Marley.
ABSENT: Member Shane Harrigfeld.
VISITORS: None
Chairman Lindsay welcomed everyone and Member West led with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Approval of Minutes: Chairman Lindsay entertained a motion. Member Lott moved to approve
the minutes for May 9, 2018 as written. Member Johnson seconded the motion. All in favor,
motion carried.
Items of Business:
Amending Ordinance 221-06-18 Title 11, Chapter 4, Section 2(A); Title 11, Chapter 4,
Section 3(B); Title 11 Chapter 4, Section 8; Title 11, Chapter 4A, Section 7; Title 11,
Chapter 4A, Section 9; and Title 11, Chapter 11, Section 21 of the Iona City Code relating
to the requirements of manufactured homes; standardizing minimum house size; and
requiring garages or carports on all homes in A, R-A, R-1, and R-T zones within city limits.
Members briefly discussed the amendment to require all future homes to have a garage or a
carport, "Exhibit A."
Member West entertained a motion. Member Johnson moved to recommend to the City Council
to approve the amendment. Chairman Lindsay seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
