A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO, REGARDING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE MCCALL AREA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, PROVIDING FOR RELATED
MATTERS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the McCall Area Comprehensive Plan was prepared in accordance with the Idaho
Local Planning Act, Section 67-6508, and was adopted by the McCall City Council on October
12, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Idaho Code Section 67-6509 allows for amendments to such plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of McCall participated in a Smart Growth Implementation project which
examined future land use planning in McCall; and
WHEREAS, the results of the Smart Growth Implementation project suggested future land use
planning for two specific areas in McCall; and
WHEREAS, such suggestions for future land use planning are appropriate as an amendment to
the McCall Area Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing regarding amending the McCall Area Comprehensive
Plan to incorporate the Smart Growth Implementation report was held by the McCall Planning
and Zoning Commission on January 10, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the McCall Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the
proposed amendment to McCall Area Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing regarding amending the McCall Area Comprehensive
Plan to incorporate the Smart Growth Implementation report was held by the McCall City
Council on February 9, 2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
McCall, Valley County, Idaho that:
Section 1: The McCall City Council supports and endorses the amendment of the McCall
Area Comprehensive Plan to include the Smart Growth Implementation Report for future land
use planning.
Section 2: The Future Land Use Map (Figure 6 in Chapter 5 Land Use) of the McCall Area
Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended to incorporate the Lardo Concept Plan map on page 13
and the West Valley Concept Plan map on page 28 of Connecting McCall: Concept Plans for
Lardo and West Valley prepared by ICF Consulting for the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency(EPA Report).
Section 3: If any conflict should arise between the maps in the EPA Report and Figure 6 in
the Comprehensive Plan, the maps in the EPA Report shall control.
Section 4: This resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
