AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A RUNWAY
MAINTENANCE FUND (303) FOR THE CITY OF RICHMOND AIRPORT
WHEREAS, On September 7, 2010 the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, approved Ordinance Number 38-2010 which Ordinance was an
appropriation ordinance authorizing the submittal, acceptance, and
appropriation of grant monies to assist with the costs associated with the
rehabilitation and construction of the Richmond Airport Terminal Apron
and Taxiway; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Grant provisions, the Richmond Airport must commit to
maintaining the asphalt on a continual basis for the Richmond Airport
Terminal Apron, Taxiway, and Runway Overlay, (hereinafter "Asphalt
Maintenance Program") in order to pursue and qualify for future grants
from the Federal Aviation Administration and Indiana Department of
Transportation; and
WHEREAS, It has been determined that it is necessary to establish a runway
maintenance fund which shall be funded annually from existing airport
cash balances in order that the Richmond Airport may implement its
Asphalt Maintenance Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the following fund be established:
1. Runway Maintenance Fund — Asphalt Maintenance for Airport Runways,
Taxiway and Tarmac (Apron).
Passed and adopted this _6th day of _December 2010, by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
