RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE AUDDLESEI COUNTY
ALL HAZARDS ARTIGATION PLAN
NlIIEREAS, by Resolution dated September 20, 2007 (H07- 1797), the County of
Middlesex was authorized to accept the FY 2007 Pre - Disaster Mitigation Program Grant
front the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the development of a
comity -wide all hazards mitigation plan; and
WHEREAS, said Plan was prepared and submitted to FE \IA for approval; and
WHEREAS, the State Office of Emergency Management has advised that said Plan has
been approved by FEMA; and
WHEREAS, FENIA requires that the County and each municipality within the County
formally adopt said Plan; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of said Plan is in the best interest of the residents of the
Borough of Carteret.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
That the Borough of Carteret hereby adopts the attached Middlesex
County Multi jurisdictional All Hazards Mitigation Plan
2. The Municipal Clerk is hereby directed to forward certified copies of this
Resolution to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Stale
Office of Emergency Management, and the Mayors of each municipality
within Middlesex County.
