AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
RICHMOND TO RECEIVE A DONATION
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations
for a specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of
such property for the intended purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to obtain and raise donations in an amount not to
exceed $25,000.
2. The Mayor is authorized to accept said donations and appropriate any funding received
to defray or cover any costs associated with the CLEAN WATER FOR GARDEN CITY
BENEFIT CONCERT to be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009.
Passed and adopted this 29th day of June, 2009 by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
