Home My Public Portal About089-2008 - 2009 Budget Amendment - Elected OffORDINANCE NO. 89-2008 AN APPROPRIATION AMENDING ORDINANCE 54-2008 KNOWN AS THE 2009 ELECTED OFFICIAL SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 34-4-7-2 requires Common Council of the City of Richmond Indiana, to fix the annual compensation of all elected city officers by ordinance; and WHEREAS, this ordinance will have been published two times in the Palladium -Item newspaper, Richmond, Indiana, with the first such publication taking place Sept. 20th, 2008 and the second such publication taking place Sept. 27th, 2008; and WHEREAS, such first publication will have taken place at least 30 days before final passage hereof WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance 54-2008 to establish elected official salaries for the year 2009 and later discovered that the 2009 calendar year will have an extra bi-weekly payroll, therefore, needed to remove the annual amounts from the previous ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the City's elected officials be compensated in the following sums for the calendar year 2008, to wit: 2009 Bi-Weekly Salary Mayor 2,618.35 Clerk 1,810.31 President of Common Council 248.40 Chairman of RP&L 255.85 Members of Common Council (8) 236.58 Members of RP&L Board (8) 243.68 ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION In addition to the above salaries, the Mayor and Clerk, as full-time city employees, shall also be entitled to the same fringe benefits as other full-time city employees as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy Manual.
