AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE AREA 9 AGENCY
WHEREAS, The Area 9 Agency has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to obtain funding for
Roseview Transit transportation services in 2006 and 2007; and
WHEREAS, a minimum local match of Fifteen Percent (15%) or Six Thousand Three Hundred
Forty -Three Dollars and Eighty Cents ($6,343.80) is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Area 9
Agency to help fund the Roseview Transit transportation services in 2006 and 2007.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Forty Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety -Two Dollars ($42,292.00).
3. Matching funds from Roseview Transit Rider donations and the City of Richmond,
Indiana, in the amount of Six Thousand Three Hundred Forty -Three Dollars and Eighty Cents
($6,343.80) shall be appropriated to support this grant application.
4. All grant funding, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to help
fund the Roseview Transit transportation services in 2006 and 2007.
Passed and adopted this _21 st_ day of February 2006, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
