City.

PRESENT: Councilmember—Chavez, Sternquist, Fish, Man
ABSENT: Councilmember—Yu
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, Community Development Director
Forbes, Senior Community Preservation Officer Tran and
Public Safety Supervisor Ariizumi
Captain Flores, Sergeant Zuniga, Deputy Lam, Deputy
Zuniga, Deputy Payne, and Deputy Holverson
Councilmember Chavez made a motion to excuse
Councilmember Yu for cause. Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem
Fish

A. QUALITY OF LIFE
Deputy Zuniga gave an overview of the sex offender registrants, parolees,
and probationers in the City.
B. OPERATIONS
Deputy Zuniga provided an update regarding arrests and operations in the
City.
C. CRIME TRENDS
Deputy Zuniga provided an overview of crime trends in neighboring cities
affecting Temple City.

E. TRAFFIC ISSUES
Deputy Zuniga provided an overview of traffic issues in the City.
F. CRIME AND TRAFFIC STATISTICS
Deputy Zuniga provided an overview of the crime and traffic statistics.
G. SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM ACTIVITIES
Deputy Zuniga provided an update on the special assignment team activities.
H. PUBLIC OUTREACH /EVENTS
Deputy Zuniga reported on the public outreach conducted by the special
assignment team.
UPCOMING EVENTS FOR MARCH 2019
Deputy Zuniga announced upcoming meetings and events that will be
conducted in the City.
City Council directed staff to educate the community regarding the city's
parking restrictions, add to City's Connect Magazine information regarding
scams, provide link on the City's website for residents to subscribe to crime
blotters, and increase publicity of the Council's monthly law enforcement
summary meetings.
City Council made comments relating to public safety and staff answered
Council questions.
