RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commission
(Commission) actions from their meeting of February 12 , 2019 .
BACKGROUND:
On February 12, 2019, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the February 12 , 2019, meeting :
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner-Haddad, Marston, Vice Chair Lee , Chair O'Leary
Absent: Commissioner -None
Excused : Commissioner -Cordes
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of December
11 ,2018.

3. PUBLIC HEARING
A MODIFICATION OF AN APPROVED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A
RESTAURANT (THE DIVE SKC) WITH LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, BEER AND WINE
SERVICE TO SELL DISTILLED SPIRITS.
The Commission approved file PL 18-1466, adopted the resolution, and found that
the project is exempt from CEQA subject to conditions of approval with
modifications to condition 11 to allow service of distilled spirits.
4. DISCUSSION ITEM:
PARKING ANALYSIS AT TEMPLE CITY MARKETPLACE
IBI group, the property owner's parking consultant, presented a parking study for the
Temple City Marketplace with recommendations to address the parking issues at the
site. The Commission received and filed the report.

8. UPDATE FROM THE PLANNING MANAGER
Planning Manager Reimers stated that the City Council approved the Series 2
Zoning Code Amendment and announced that there will be a Zoning Code Update
community meeting on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. A special
Planning Commission meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, February 28 at
7:30 p.m. At the last City Council meeting the City Council directed staff to prepare
a Zoning Code Amendment to prohibit two-story houses on the front lot of,a flag lot
subdivision. Staff is planning to bring a staff report and recommendation in March.
9. ADJOURNMENT
The Commission meeting was adjourned at 8:24 p.m.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Commission actions of February 12, 2019, furthers the City's Strategic
Goal of Citizen Education and Communication.
