SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION ACTIONS -
MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13, 2019.
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission (Commission) actions from their regular meeting of February 13 , 2019 .
BACKGROUND:
On February 13, 2019 the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the February 13, 2019 meeting :
1. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioner-Blatt, Kwan, Palmieri, Nimri , Clift
Absent: Commissioner-None
Excused : Commissioner-None
2 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes of the January 23, 2019 meeting .

3. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS
The Commission held six hearings in person. Two citations were upheld and two
citations were dismissed. One citation was continued to the next Transportation and
Public Safety Commission Meeting, and one citation resulted in a partial dismissal.
The Commission held three hearings by written declaration. Three citations were
upheld.
4. NEW BUSINESS
The Commission denied a hardship appeal for an overnight parking permit at 6037
Agnes.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Transportation and Public Safety Commission Actions furthers the City's
Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2018-19 City Budget.
