SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS -MEETING OF MARCH 26, 2019
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Comm ission
(Commission) actions from their meeting of March 26, 2019.
BACKGROUND:
On March 26 , 2019, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the March 26, 2019 , meeting:
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner -Marston, Vice -Chair Lee , Chair O'Leary
Absent: Commissioner-None
Excused: Commissioner -Cordes and Haddad
2 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of March 12 ,
2019 .

3 . PUBLIC HEARING
A REQUEST FOR A ZONE VARIANCE AND MINOR SITE PLAN REVIEW FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TWO-STORY, SINGLE-FAMILY RES IDENCE. THE
APPLICANT REQUESTS THAT THE CITY ALLOW A VARIANCE FROM THE
REQUIRED 15-FOOT REAR YARD SETBACK DUE TO AN IRREGULARLY-
SHAPED LOT.
The Commiss ion voted to contin ue file PL 18-1630 to the next meeti ng of April 9 ,
2019.
4. PUBLIC HEARING
ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT TO LIMIT THE HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS ON THE
FRONT LOT OF FLAG AND TIERED LOT SUBDIVISIONS .
The Commission voted 3-0 to recommend that the City Council not adopt t he
proposed zoning text amendment and maintain the e xisting development standards
flag lot and tiered lot subdivisions .

The Commission meeting was adjourned at 9 :09p.m .
