SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS -MEETING OF MAY 28, 2019
RECOMMENDATION:

ITEM 7.8.
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Plann ing Commission
(Commission) actions from their meeting of May 28 , 2019 .
BACKGROUND:
On May 28 , 2019 , the Comm ission held their regularly scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
The fol lowing is a summary of actions taken at the May 28 , 2019 meeting :
1. ROLL CALL :
Present: Commissione r-Cordes , Haddad , Marston , V ice-Chair Lee , Chair
O'Leary
Absent: Commiss ioner -None
Excused : Commissioner -None
2 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of April 23 ,
2019 .

3 . PUBLIC HEARING
A. PL 17-1098: 10558 OLIVE STREET
DESCRIPTION : A tentative parcel map and major s ite plan review for a flag
lot subdivision and for the construction of a single-family house on the front
lot.
ACTION : The Commission voted 5-0 to approve file PL 17-1098, and adopt
the resolution finding that the project is exempt from CEQA, subject to the
proposed recommended conditions of approval.
B . PL 18-1281 : 8630 HERMOSA DRIVE
DESCRIPTION : A tentative parcel map and major s ite plan review for a flag lot
subdivision and for the construction of a single-family residence on each
parcel
ACTION : The Commission voted 5-0 to approve file PL 18-128, and adopt the
resolution , modifying the condition to allow removal of all trees on the property
and replacing the existing large trees at a ratio to be determ i ned by the
Planning Manager and adding a condition requir ing revised plans to be
subm itted with a higher quality garage door.

7. UPDATE FROM THE PLANNING MANAGER
Planning Manager Reimers announced that the next meeting will be June 11 ,
2019 to discuss the Zoning Code Update.

The Commission meeting was adjourned at 8 :24 p.m .
