E. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 19 -5417 APPROVING PAYMENT OF BILLS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-19
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No. 19-5417 authorizing the
payment of bills.

F. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 19 -5418 APPROVING PAYMENT OF BILLS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019-20
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No. 19-5418 authorizing the
payment of bills.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 19-5418.

A. TEMPLE CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
City Council is requested to review actions pertaining to the Chamber of
Commerce’s annual service agreement and proposed office relocation to the
Council Chambers building.
Presentation: City Manager
Recommendation:
1. Approve a one-year, $70,000 professional services agreement with the
Temple City Chamber of Commerce for business promotion and public
information services;
2. Approve a three-year lease agreement with the Temple City Chamber of
Commerce for office space within the Council Chambers building, effective
October 1, 2019; and
3. Appropriate $26,400 from the General Fund for necessary building
improvements associated with the aforementioned lease.
B. CONSIDERATION OF CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR
VOTER APPROVAL OF A PARCEL TAX TO FUND STREET AND SAFETY
IMPROVEMENTS
The City Council is requested to discuss calling a Special Municipal Election to
submit to the voters for consideration a parcel tax measure to fund street and
safety improvements in the City.

1. Consider adopting Resolution No. 19-5415 (Attachment “A”) calling a Special
Municipal Election for November 5, 2019 for voter approval of the “Temple City Street
Reconstruction and Safety Improvement Measure” (“Measure”), which establishes a
$300 parcel tax to fund street and safety improvements within the City;
2. Consider adopting Resolution No. 19-5416 (Attachment “B”) requesting the Board of
Supervisors of Los Angeles County to consolidate the City’s Special Municipal
Election with the November 5, 2019 Statewide General Election;
3. Direct up to two Councilmembers to draft the argument in favor of the proposed
Measure; and
4. Provide staff with such other direction as the City Council deems appropriate.
