Mayor Fish called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 2:35 p.m. in the
Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.

A. DISCUSSION ON CITY COMMISSIONER INTERVIEWS
The City Council is requested to discuss the duties of the Transportation and
Public Safety Commission.
City Council Commissioner Recruitment Ad Hoc Committee wanted to have a
discussion with full Council regarding the duties of the Transportation and Public
Safety Commission.
City Council briefly discussed the duties of the Commission.
Mayor Fish opened public comment.
Hearing no request to speak, Mayor Fish closed public comment.
City Council directed staff to bring back this item to Council at a later date.
B. CITY COMMISSIONER INTERVIEWS
The City Council is requested to interview applicants to fill seats on City
Commissions with terms that expired on June 30, 2019.
Council interviewed applicants to fill 3 seats on the Transportation and Public
Safety Commission, 3 seats on the Planning Commission and 3 seats on the
Parks and Recreation Commission.

City Council discussed and collaborated on the candidate interviews and
unanimously approved to appoint incumbent candidates John Cordes to the
Planning Commission, and Cynthia Vance, Lance Baroldi, and Joanne Rosso to
the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Mayor Pro Tern Chavez made a motion to appoint Joel Catalan, Michael Stoll and
Jeffrey Xu to the Transportation and Public Safety Commission. Seconded by
Councilmember Yu.
Councilmember Sternquist made a motion to appoint John Cordes, Beverly Guan
and Jeffrey Lee to the Planning Commission. Seconded by Mayor Fish.
Mayor Pro Tern Chavez made a motion to appoint Lance Baroldi, Joanne Rosse
and Cynthia Vance to the Parks and Recreation Commission. Seconded by
Councilmember Man.
4. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Ousama Nimri, Temple City Resident, commented on the Commission Interviews.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The Special City Council meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
