Mayor Fish called the City Council Regular Meeting to order at 7 :41 p.m. in the
Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temp le City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember-Man, Yu , Chavez , Fish
ABSENT/REC USED : Councilmember-Sternquist
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook , City Attorney Murphy, City Clerk Kuo ,
Community Development Director Forbes , and Planning
Manager Reimers .
Mayor Pro Tem Chavez made a motion to excuse Councilmember Sternquist.
Seconded by Councilmember Yu . Councilmember Sternquist was recused from the
discussion of New Business regarding Primrose Park Concept Plan as she owns a
property within 500 feet of the Primrose Park site .
3. NEW BUSINESS
A. APPROVAL OF PRIMROSE PARK CONCEPT PLAN FOR STATE GRANT
APPLICATION
The City Council is requested to receive and review the concepts for Primrose Park
and select a concept plan .
City Manager Cook remarked on the state grant application and the park concept
plans .
Parks and Recreat ion Manager Lawson gave a brief summary of the staff report .
David Volz , David Vo lz Design, gave an overview of the commun ity meetings and
the design concepts .
City Council made comments and asked questions regarding the three concepts .
Mayor Fish opened public comment.

Bryan Matsumoto , Temple City resident , spoke in favor of concept #2 with more
green space .
Cathy Burroughs , Temple City resident , spoke against adding a bathroom to the
park.
Jerry Jambazian , Temp le City business owner, spoke regarding hand icap parking
spaces being too far from the park.
Jim Cl ift , Temple City resident , spoke in favor of everything that has been
mentioned by the other speakers .
Aian Rui Hei , Temple City resident , spoke in favor of concept #3 but does not
support installing a bathroom in the proposed park .
Hearing no further request to speak , Mayor Fish closed public comment.
Councilmember Man made a motion to selected concept plan #3 to be included in
the State Grant Applicat ion . Seconded by Councilmember Yu and carried by the
following votes :
