Mayor Commissioner Vice -Mayor Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Town Attorney Deputy Town Clerk The minutes of the commission meeting held on January 11, 1958 were read, approved and adopted. J. R. Fountain reported bank balances as of January 31, 1958 as follows: General Account $16,050.89 Water Account 6,18$.32 Reserve Dep. Account 869.37 Payments from the General Account during January, 1958 were on checks numbered 363 through 392 and totaled $2,353.71. Pay- ments from the Water Account were on checks numbered 138, 139 and 140 and totaled $9,242.16. All of the above payments were unanimously approved. Mayor Lindsay reported that he had been contacted by Mr. Roy Croft, Mayor of Delray Beach. Mr. Croft requested Mayor Lindsay's signature on the petition which recognizes the Gulf Stream Hospital Association as the authorized fund raising and committee governing body for the new Bethesda Hospital. The Commissioners unanimously approved the Mayor's signature on this document. The following Resolution #473 was passed unanimously: RESOLUTION #473 FIXING TIME WHEN TOWN COMMISSION WILL SIT AS BOARD OF EQUALIZATION WHEREAS, the Town Charter requires that the Town Commission shall sit as a Board of Equalization on the 1957 tax rolls on a day or days between March 15 and April 1st; NOW, THEREFORE,BE I1 RESOLVED, BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, in regular session assembled February 8, 1958 as follows: Minutes of Meeting held Feb. 8, 1958_(continued) Page 2. 1. That the Town Commission will sit as a Board of Equalization at the Town Hall of Gulf Stream, Florida, on the Town tax rolls for the year 1958 on March 19, 209 219 1958 between the hours of 10:00 o'clock A. M. and 1201 o'clock P. M. of each day, for the pur- pose of hearing complaints, if any, and of equalizing the assessment rolls. 2. The Town Clerk is directed to post a copy of this resolution on the Town Bulletin Board immediately after its adoption and to leave the same on the Bulletin Board until April 1st, 1958• All persons having any complaints or objec- tions to the assessment rolls are directed to make their complaints in writing and to present the same at the time that the Commission will sit as a Board of Equalization. Adopted this 8th day of February, 1958 TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA Ordinance Number 114 was read in full for the second and last time, titled: A Proposed Ordinance #114 and titled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO INSTALL OR USE ANY BOOSTER PUMP OR OTHER DEVICE FOR THE PUR- POSE OF ACCELERATING THE FLOW OR INCREASING THE PRESSURE IN ANY MAIN USED FOR THE DIS- TRIBUTION OF WATER FURNISHED BY GULF STREAN: GOLF CLUB TO THE TOWN OR UPON ANY CONNEC- TION THEREWITH ON PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION: PROVIDING THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMYE- DIATELY DPON ITS PASSAGE. Mr. Pope moved that this ordinance be approved and adopted. Mr. Koch seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Ordinance number 115 and titled: A proposed Ordinance $115 -and titled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO DUMP FILTH, DIRT, GARBAGE, SHELLS, TRASH, REFUSE OR OTHER THINGS IN THE WATERS OF ANY BODY OF WATER WITHIN THE TOWN LIMITS OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA OR ADJACENT TO THE TOWN LIMITS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION: PROVIDING THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON ITS PASSAGE. Mr. Dodson seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Koch reported that he was pleased with the progress he has made in arranging for the City of Delray Beach to contract to furnish fire truck service to the residents of Gulf Stream. Mr. Pope reported that there had been a few complaints re- garding the dumping of town tradh on his property behind the area known as Gulf Stream Heights. He requested that Raleigh Fountain notify the Town's employees to stop dumping there until further notice. Mr. Pope asked that the Commissioners vote on whether or not to issue a permit for the erection of a frame building on the sight where the new Some9et Apartment Building will be erected. For issuance of the permit - 0 Against issuance of the permit- 4 Mr. Pope refrained from voting. There beinging no futher business the commissioners adjourned.
