AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA FINANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, The Indiana Finance Authority non -petroleum remediation grant program has
grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond wishes to submit a grant application to obtain funds that
will be used to remediate environmental issues at the old Indiana Gas Building
located on East Main Street in Uptown Richmond; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the
Indiana Finance Authority non -petroleum remediation grant program.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to remediate
environmental issues at the old Indiana Gas Building located on East Main Street in Uptown
Richmond.

of Richmond, Indiana.
