Mayor Lindsay said that Mr. Koch was ill and could not attend.
Mr. William LaPorte was in attendance.
The minutes of the Town Commission Meeting held on February
8, 1958 were read, approved and adopted.
J. R. Fountain reported bank balances as follows:
General Account $15,860.87
Water Account 7048.97
Reserve Dep. Account 869.37
Payments from the General Account were on checks numbered
393 through 419 and totaled $2,056.48. Payments from the Water
Account were on checks 141 and 142 and totaled $300.68. All
of the above payments were unanimously approved.
Mayor Lindsay read a letter from Mr. Middleton, County
Engineer. In it Mr. Middleton requested that the Town recommend
sufficient set backs on AlA to accommodate a future right -of -way
of 106 feet. Mr. Dodson moved that J. R. Fountain explain to
any person who builds on a lot fronting on AlA the anticipated
plans of the Florida State Road Board for widening this highway;
and further that J. R. Fountain request the architects to consider
a front set back of at least 78 feet from the center of AlA. Mr.
Pope seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Lindday reported that Mr. Koch was in bed with
influenza and thit he had requested the Commissioners investigate
the possibility of the Town collecting about 1% of the sales from
the Telephone Company. J. R. Fountain said he would call Mr.
Yarbrough, the manager of the Delray Beach exchange. He said he
would have a report for the next Commission Meeting.
Mayor Lindsay stated that there was a request from the
Westminster Corporation asking that the Town pay for their water
meter repair in the amount of $113.76. After a discussion of the
possibility of faulty installation and perhaps an inferior meter
type, the Commissioners voted unanimously for J. R. Fountain to
explain that the Town would not pay this Westminster bill.
Mayor Lindsay stated that the Commissioners and the Town
owed Mr. Dodson a vote of gratitude for his splendid work in
saving the Town at least $140.00 per year on the Town's insurance
policies. The Commissioners gave Mr. Dodson a rising vote of
thanks.

MARCH 19, 20 and 21, 1958
The"%wn Commissioners of Gulf Stream, Fla. met
at the Town Hall in Gulf Stream, Florida at 10:00
