AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
UNITED STATES TENNIS ASSOCIATION MIDWEST SECTION
WHEREAS, The United States Tennis Association Midwest Section has grant funding
available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used to purchase tennis equipment for Just
Us Kids Outdoors (J.U.K.O.) summer program; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit
a grant application to the United States Tennis Association Midwest Section.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said
grant funding in an amount up to One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).
4. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall
be appropriated to purchase tennis equipment for Just Us Kids Outdoors (J.U.K.O.) summer
program.
Passed and adopted this _17th_ day of April 2006, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
