A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COT]NCIL OF THE
VTLLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE' FLORIDA ("V[LAGE"),
PROVIDING FOR RATIFICATION OF THE 2020.2023
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE AND THE KEY BISCAYNE
PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTER'S ASSOCIATIONO
LOCAL 3638, FOR THE BARGAINING TJNIT CONSISTING
OF THE VILLAGE'S FIREFIGHTERS / PARAMEDICS,
DRIVER ENGINEERS AND FIRE LIEUTENANTSO ANI)
THE BARGAINING TINIT CONSISTING OF THE
VILLAGE'S FIRE CAPTAINS; AUTHORIZING THE
VILLAGE MANAGER TO SIGN THE COLLECTIVE
BARGAINING AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE
VILLAGE AND TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO
IMPLEMENT THE AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") desires to ratify the 2020-2023
Collective Bargaining Agreement ("Agreement") between the Village and the Key Biscayne
Professional Firefighter's Association, Local 3638, for the bargaining unit consisting of the
Village's Firefighters / Paramedics, Driver Engineers and Fire Lieutenants, and the bargaining unit
consisting of the Village's Fire Captains (a copy of the tentative Agreement is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that ratification of the Agreement is in the best interest
of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. Each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted, confirmed,
and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Authoriz.ation. The Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
Agreement, in the substantial form attached hereto as Exhibit "A," and to take all actions necessary
to implement the Agreement and the purpose of this Resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption hereof.
