HomeMy Public PortalAbout044-2006 - Appropriation Ordinance - Grant - EORDINANCE NO. 44-2006 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND THE COUNTY CONSOLIDATED EDIT FUND. WHEREAS, the City of Richmond is requesting Two Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($210,000.00) from the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the County Consolidated EDIT Fund; and WHEREAS, said funding will be used to build a street and related infrastructure at Rose City Business Park; and WHEREAS, the project will cost approximately One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand, Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,350,000.00); and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit an EDIT application to the Economic Development Corporation; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Redevelopment Commission will be requested to commit $450,000.00 towards the $1,350,000.00 project; and WHEREAS, the developer will contribute the remaining funds. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit an EDIT application to the Economic Development Corporation. 2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Two Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($210,000.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be used to build a street and related infrastructure at Rose City Business Park.
