CALL TO ORDER
The May 23, 2011, Council Work Session was convened at 5:35 P.M. by Mayor Eric
Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Griffith, Harvey, Koon, Luebbert, Pope, Schulte,
Scrivner, Weber
Absent: Pope
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Old Town Update
Assistant to City Administrator Melva Fast gave an update on the Revitalization of Old
Town. She distributed information on the incentive programs and upcoming plans in Old
Town. Staff answered Council questions concerning the implementation of Festival
Districts.
Garfield Traub Contract
The Garfield Traub contract was not discussed at the meeting.
1/2 Cent Sales Tax
Finance Director Steve Schlueter distributed the information about the projects for Sales
Tax F. Discussion was held regarding the allocation of revenue from the tax. Councilman
Bob Scrivner indicated that stormwater should receive more funding. A motion was made
by Councilman Bob Scrivner to move $150,000 from Parks and Recreation to Public Works.
The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Carrie Carroll and approved by the following
roll -call vote:
Aye: Bray, Carroll, Griffith, Luebbert, Scrivner
Nay: Harvey, Koon, Schulte, Weber

Mayor Eric Struemph requested Steve Schlueter amend the proposed Sales Tax F projects
plan. The Resolution to approve this plan will be voted on at the June 6th Council meeting.
GO INTO CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Struemph announced that, pursuant to Sec. 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of
Missouri, the Chair will entertain a motion to go into Closed Session at this time to discuss
the following:
Personnel [Sec. 610.021.(3)]
A motion was made by Councilman Ralph Bray to go into closed session, seconded by
Councilman Shawn Schulte, and approved by the following roll -call vote at 6:15 P.M.:
Aye: Bray, Carroll, Griffith, Harvey, Koon, Luebbert, Schulte, Scrivner, and Weber
Nay: None
