CALL TO ORDER
The June 27, 2011, Council Work Session was convened at 5:35 P.M. by Mayor Eric
Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Bray, Carroll (arrived at 5:49 P.M.), Koon, Luebbert, Pope, Schulte,
and Scrivner (arrived at 5:42 P.M.), and Weber
Absent: Griffith and Harvey
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Redistricting
Interim City Administrator / City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus asked City Planner Janice
McMillan to give the general plan of how the City will eventually draw redistricting lines. At
the conclusion, Mr. Nickolaus advised the Council not to proceed until the State Legislative
Redistricting lines have been finalized.
Parks Multipurpose Facility
Parks & Recreation Director Bill Lockwood introduced members of the Parks and
Recreation Commission, then turned the podium over to Mr. Darin Barr of Ballard King who
gave a detailed presentation on their company's study regarding the need for a
multipurpose facility in the City. Following his presentation, he answered several questions.
