PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
Adjourned Meeting June 28, 1967
1. Vice Chairman Villar called to order the adjourned meeting of the
Parks & Recreation Commission at 7:35 P.M. at the City Hall.
2. Commissioners Adams, Caswell, Greenberg and Villar were present
as well as the Director of Recreation, Victor Kobett. Commissioner
Maudlin was absent due to illness.
3. The purpose of the adjourned meeting was to discuss the teen dance
planned for July 7, 1967. The Director reviewed all action taken
by the department since the regular commission on June 21, 1967.
It was the feeling of those present that more publicity should be
given to the activity. It was decided that Commissioner Caswell .
would print a poster and that Commissioner Greenberg arrange to
have 200 copies made of it. The department would be responsible
to distribute posters. It was decided that a flyer announcing
the dance would be distributed to all summer school students.
Also every effort should be made to get another picture in the
local paper.
4. There being no further business, Commissioner Adams moved to adjourn
to the regular meeting of the Commission on July 19, 1967. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Greenberg and carried.
5. Meeting adjourned at 9:05 P.M. to the July 19th regular scheduled
meeting at the City Hall, 5938 North Kauffman Ave.
