AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
SVITH APPRAISAL CONSULTANTS CORP.
ACQUISITION OF WATERFRONT PROPERTY
BLOCK20.1 P/O LOT 1
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional appraisal services with
regard to and consultant services in connection with the appraisal of real property located
at the Carteret waterfront; block 20.1 p/o lot 1; and
WHEREAS, Jon Brody of Appraisal Consultants Corp., 293 Eisenhower Parkway, Suite
200, Livingston, NJ 07039 possesses the requisite training, experience and expertise to
provide said professional appraisal services; and
WHEREAS, Jon Brody has proposed to perform the above services at a cost not to
exceed $9,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. The proposal of Jon Brody for the specialized appraisal and
consultation services in connection with the appraisal of real property
located at the Carteret waterfront block 20.1 p/o lot 1 in the total
i amormt not to exceed $9,000.00 is hereby approved;
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with tile Borough's
Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
Adopted this 12' day of June, 2008
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 13, 2008.
