AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
APPRAISAL SERVICES WITH NIAURICE STACK —
ACQUISITION OF WATERFRONT PROPERTY
BLOCK 20.1 P/O LOT 1
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized real estate
appraisal and consultation services in connection with the appraisal of real
property located at the Carteret waterfront; block 20.1 p/o lot l; and
WHEREAS, Maurice J. Stack, II of Stack Coolahan & Stack, Hoboken, New
Jersey 07030, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said
services; and
WHEREAS, Maurice J. Stack, II has submitted a proposal to provide said
services; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer certifies that fiords are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal of Maurice J. Stack for the specialized appraisal
and consultation services in cotmection with the appraisal of
real property located at the Carteret waterfront block 20.1 p/o
lot I in the total amount not to exceed $9,500.00 is hereby
approved;
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;
3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(i)(a) in accordance
with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by
law.
Adopted this 12 day of June, 2008
and certified as a true copy of the

APPRAISAL AND CONSULTATION SERVICE IN CONNECTION WITH THE
APPRAISAL OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE CARTERET
WATERFRONT BLOCK 4 LOT 3 (20.1 P/O LOT I OLD )
NOT TO EXCEED $9,500.00.
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in
Resolution.
