HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 5/21/1974��49 The Wellsburg Town Council met in special session on May 21, 1974, with Mayor Hippen presiding and Councilmen Fairbanks, Pen- ning, and Heinrich present. Purpose of the meeting was to consider a Class B Beer Permit for Meadowbrook Golf Course. Moved by Penning, seconded by Fair- banks to approve the issuance of the permit. Roll call of votes -- Ayes: Fairbanks, Penning, Heinrich.. Nays: None Absent: Van Deest, Huisman There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned. -ems ��,, t-�� M or lerk The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on June 3, 1974, with Mayor Hippen presiding and all councilmen present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by Van Deest. Carried. H uisman moved, Penning seconded acceptance of the treasurer's report as read. Carried. Fairbanks moved, Van Deest seconded allowance of the following bills for payment: Henry J. Grobe, net salary ��101.21 Merrill Lindaman, net salary 370.28 Prrank Hippen, net salary 370.28 Wellsburg Oil Co., rubber hose & floor dry 13.93 Krull Skelly Service, gas & oil 108.58 (��undy Co. Landfill, landfill 204.21 Harold Fischer Ins., insurance '799.72 Redden Miller Office Machines, calculator 295.00 Wellsburg Herald, proceedings & claims 22.56 Iowa Dept. Environmental Quality, license fee for Merrill Lindaman 5.00 A. Y. McDonald Mfg. Co., water main 1797.75 United Telephone Co., toll calls 16.43 Iowa Electric Light & Power, utilities 682.88 Issuance of cigarette permits for The Bungalow, Lindaman's Supermarket, Krull's Skelly, Boeke Rexall, Hippen Tire & Battery, The Pub, Wellsburg Tap, Jungling Gulf, and Terry's were approved on a motion by Penning, seconded by Huisman. Carried. A Class C Beer & Liquor license for Terry's was approved on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Fairbanks. Roll call of votes -- Ayes: Huisman, Heinrich, Fairba,��ks, Van Deest, Penning N ays: None Absent: None Carried. Moved by Heinrich, seconded by Penning to specify on the Planned Use Report for the Fifth Entitlement Period that the ��2439 which the town will receive b;e allocated to public safety capital improvement. Roll call of votes -- Ayes: Huisman, Heinrich, Fairbanks, Van Deest, Penning Nays: None Absent: None On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Penning, the lifeguards and employees at the swimming pool are to be paid every two weeks.
