FIRST MEETING - CURRENT COUNCIL
CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Council Meeting of April 16, 2012, was convened at 6:00 P.M. by Mayor Eric
Struemph.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Harvey, Koon, Luebbert, Pope, Schulte, Scrivner, and
Weber
Absent: None
A quorum was declared present.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
There were no public hearings scheduled at this time.
MISCELLANEOUS AGENDA ITEMS
(a) Presenting "Days of Remembrance" Proclamation for Holocaust Victims to Sherri
Thomas and Beth Ayres of Lewis & Clark School
Following reading of the proclamation, Mayor Eric Struemph presented it to Ms. Thomas and
Ms. Ayres.
(b) Proclamation - Proclamation for Fair Housing Month and Announcing Poster Contest
Winners by Hank Vogt of Board of Realtors
Mr. Vogt presented the winners' certificates to those who won 1st Place and 2nd Place in
each of the grades participating. At the conclusion, Mayor Eric Struemph read the
proclamation and presented it to Mr. Vogt.

FIRST MEETING - CURRENT COUNCIL
Mayor Eric Struemph announced that the following minutes and reports have been received
and are on file for review in the City Clerk's office:
a. Public Safety Committee, March 8, 2012
b. Certification of Cole and Callaway County April 3 Election Results to City Clerk
c. Animal Control Section Monthly Report for March, 2012
d. Police Personnel Board, February 2, 2012
e. CAMPO Technical Committee, March 1, 2012
f. Historic Preservation Commission, March 26, 2012
Mayor Struemph thanked all the citizens who give their time and efforts to serve on City
boards and commissions.
COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS
Administration Committee - Councilwoman Carrie Carroll announced that the next meeting
will be scheduled after the Committee appointments are approved in the second meeting
tonight.
Finance Committee - Councilman Rich Koon announced that the next meeting will be
scheduled after the Committee appointments are approved in the second meeting tonight.
Public Safety Committee - Councilman Bryan Pope reported a meeting will be held at 7:30
A.M. on Thursday, April 19.
Public Works & Planning Committee - Councilman Bob Scrivner reported on the last
meeting which was held on April 12.
Other Committee and Liaison Reports - There were no reports made at this time.
APPOINTMENTS BY THE MAYOR
There were no presentations brought forward at this time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS OF UPCOMING MEETINGS AND EVENTS
Janice McMillan made an announcement about this year's Citywide Bulky Items spring
cleanup. Information about the event can be found on the City's website.

FIRST MEETING - CURRENT COUNCIL
Mr. Lonnie Brandt made a presentation on behalf of the Jefferson City Fire Department
requesting that Bill 2011 -164 (Fire Improvement Plan) be withdrawn from consideration to
allow the Fire Department personnel to gather signatures from all five of the wards showing
support for the proposed program. Following his presentation, he asked outgoing
Councilmen Mike Harvey and Rich Koon to step forward to receive a token of appreciation
from Fire Personnel for their service on the City Council as well as on the Public Safety
Committee.

A motion was made by Councilman Bob Scrivner for approval of the Consent Agenda as
presented, seconded by Councilwoman Carrie Carroll, and approved unanimously.
