Mayor Lindsay announced that the Town was being sued
by Mr. C.P. Young, The complaint was given to Mr. H.F.
Lilienthal, Town Attorney.
Mayor Lindsay explained that Mr. Earl Harvel, Engineer
made a survey of the poor drainage in the area in and
around the intersection of Banyan Road and Gulf Stream
Road at no charge to the Town. Mr. Harvel had told Mr.
Fountain that he though that the warter problem could
be improved by cleaning the present drain pipes along
Gulf Stream Road and then dig ing a ditch from the
drain pipe located on the old practice field to the new
yacht basin to the north of Polo Cove. Mr. Pope said
he would dig the ditch and the Commissioners voted
unanimously to have Howard Cromer Utilities Contractors
clean the drains along the East side of Gulf Stream Rd,
Henry V. Pope submitted a plat for Polo Cove Addit-
ion # 1. Mayor Lindsay noted that no specifications for
drainage, roads, power pole easements or elevation
figures was listed. For this reason, the Commissioners
agreed that it would be better for Mr. Pope to fill the
land, build the roads and get the light poles erected
while an engineer employdd by the Town inspects the work
to make sure it comes up to the County requirements. Mr.
Dodsin recommended that the Town employ Mr. Flemming,
Delray Beach City Engineer. The Commissioners requested
that J.Raleigh Fountain contact mr. Fleming.
There being no futher business the Commissioners
adjourned.
