COMMISSIONERS' ORALS
Commissioner Espeseth discussed the Job Faire program that
was held at Bateman Hall. She mentioned that there were
about 45 different job entities presented and the program was
well attended. The rest of the commissioners requested that
they be informed should there be another Job Faire Event.
Mr. Gerald Forde explained to the Commission that the Census
Bureau is initiating a number of promotional and operational
projects at the national and local levels to obtain a complete
and accurate count. The Bureau needed a Complete Count
Committee to help out in this project and Mr. Forde asked if
the Community Affairs Commission would be interested in
representing the City. Chairperson Litsinger indicated that
he will send a letter to the members of the City Council to
express their willinqness to help the Census Bureau.
Commissioner Madden will be going to Virginia next month and
she asked to be excused at the meetinq.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
PM. The next meeting is scheduled for May 17, 1989.
