HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-08-2015THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, OCTOBER 8, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, October 8, 2015, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Tony Foster. Absent was Dick Foore. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Karen Chasteen City Clerk; Ashley Schultz, Bruce Oesterling & Sarah Mitchell, Metropolitan Development; Bill Thistlethwaite, Park Department; Deputy Fire Chief Tim Brown; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foster moved to approve the minutes of October 1, 2015, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Foster moved to approve October 9, 2015 Claims for Payment in the amount of Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Nine Dollars and fifty five cents ($218,749.55), supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS • STREET CLOSURES BLIGHT ELIMINATION PROGRAM DEMOLITION October 26, 2015 South 10th Street — South "A" Street to South "C" Street — plus side streets nearest to the Park 8:30 am -12:00 pm Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. LANE CLOSURES October 19 -23, 2015 East Main Street- 1$L-7t^ Street; North 7th Street between East Main and Fort Wayne Avenue; and, North 10th Street between Park Place and North "E" Street Geo -tech requirements for the Stellar Streets Project, Earth Exploration will be conducting soil boring and core borings Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carved. Mr. Foster moved to authorize Ms. Robinson to sign Contract No. 111 -2015 on behalf of the Board of Works, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CONTRACT NO. 113-2015 — Penn Care, Inc. (Fire) Chassis Ambulance Not to exceed $132,911.00 Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS - None ADDENDUMS - None RESOLUTIONS - None PETITIONS DRIVEWAY PETITIONS 1432 Lakeview Court Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson.
