April 19 , 2019
Present : Joan Carstan jen , Mary , Haynes , Laurel Labdon , Roberta Murphy , Denise Rego

Absent : Judy Miller , Cindy Bingham ( Select Board liaison )
1 , Come to order : Ms . Rego called the meeting to order at 2 : 00 pm at the
Brewster Police Department conference room .
2 . Secretary's Report : Laurel made the motion to accept the minutes as written and
Roberta seconded , with was unanimously voted to approve the minutes of the March 15 ,
2019 committee meeting .
3 . Old Business :
Discuss & finalize committee's rating of accessibility of Brewster restaurants :
Laurel made the motion to accept Judy's " Fully Accessible Restaurants 2019 " list
and Mary seconded it . Denise will get the list to Kyle at the Chamber office ASAP.
Discuss ADA vs . Accessible Information Cards : To be discussed at our May
meeting
Discuss suggestions to make 2020 Historical Society tours accessible : Joan will
find out when the Historical Society discuss this event for 2020 so our committee
can work with them to have an accessible vehicle for the tour . Currently there are
cemetery town which people do in their own cars . Widow's War tour is the most
popular , with 2 tours per day with a $ 45 . charge. Laurel contacted Mayflower
Trolley Co , out of Provincetown and they charge $ 1 , 200/ 3 hour/ 30 people , with an
additional $ 150 for every other hour after . They would have to drive the route to
see if it is do-able before committing to a tour . Denise will ask if the COA could
loan out 1 of it handicap accessible vans for a tour .
4 . New Business : Judy Miller and Roberta Murphy's terms are up at the end of
June. Roberta will be stepping down and we will ask Judy what her intentions are
going forward . Once Roberta gives Judy her letter of resignation , Town Hall staff
can advertise our need . If any committee member knows of a possible candidate ,
please let Judy know .
5 . Items for next meeting's agenda :
Discuss improved accessibility vs . ADA standards postcards .
Discuss ways to improve access to Historical Society tours : types of accessible
vehicles , possible short tour in 2019 as trial , make an accessibility plan for
2020 to present to the Historical Society.
6 . Name May's Chairperson : Ms . Labdon volunteered to chair the meeting .
7 . Other business not anticipated by the chair :
Next meeting : May 10 , 2019 at 2pm at the Brewster Police Facility . This will be our last
meeting until September .
The meeting was adjourned at 2 : 25 pri .
