Work Session - Call to Order 5:45 PM
A. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin City Council held a work session Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the City Hall Council
Chambers. Mayor Berner called the meeting to order at 5:46 PM. Upon roll being called the following
members were present: Chris Olney, Skylar Limkemann, Al Havens, Eric Schnedler, Tim Orris. Others
present City Administrator Doug Boldt and City Clerk Abigail Hora.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve agenda by Schnedler.
Second by Olney.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Tour of New Public Work Building
Motion to temporarily adjourn and travel to New PW building by Havens.
Second by Limkemann.
All ayes, meeting temporarily adjourned at 5:46 PM.
Motion to return from temporary adjournment at the New PW building by Limkemann.
Second by Orris.
All ayes, motion carried.
Motion to temporarily adjourn and travel back to City Hall by Limkemann.
Second by Havens.
Motion to return from temporary adjournment at City Hall by Orris.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, motion carried.
D. Discussion of Tiffin West Subdivision and potential options for Half Moon Road
Discussion: Jason Dumont developer and Jon Marner from MMS discussed the Tiffin West subdivision
with City Council. Developer would like to asphalt the road to the first drive and then 2-3X a year
conduct dust control.
E. Discussion of possible Detention/Retention Facility in City Park for Hawk Wash Car Wash Storm
Water Runoff Management
Discussion: Jon Marner from MMS present to discuss the possible detention/retention facility. The site
proposed would be on City property but upsized to fit the use of the City.

Discussion: Julie Happel, 267 W Goldfinch Dr, wanted to address the deer issue behind her house. She would like to put in
a gap to allow wildlife to freely roam. Has contacted the DNR to further discuss this issue.
