SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION, DECEMBER 10, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
The December 10, 2012, Special City Council Work Session was convened at 5:34 P.M.
by Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Henry, Luebbert, Mihalevich, Pope, Prather, Schulte, and
Scrivner
Absent: *Carroll and Weber
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Conference Capital Improvement Plan:
City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus made a presentation regarding tonight's topic in
general, then turned the meeting over to Public Works Director Roger Schwartze and
asked him to present some of the public works projects in greater detail.
Mr. Schwartze explained the following three projects:
1. Frog Hollow Extension
2. Lafayette Roundabout
3. Fire Station 3
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll arrived at the meeting at 6:18 P.M.
Following his presentation, he answered questions from the Council.
At the conclusion of the presentation, City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus gave his
recommendations to the Council regarding the Plan, and asked the Council to take
action to give staff some direction regarding which projects should take priority. He
stated that even though the Council would provide direction, they will still see every
individual project as it comes forward, and they will have an opportunity for input and / or
action at various stages of each project.
The Council asked Mr. Nickolaus to provide them a copy of last year's Plan for
comparison, and asked that approval of the Plan just presented be placed on Monday
night's agenda (December 17) as they did not quite feel ready to vote on it at this point.
Councilman Shawn Schulte also asked to receive an update on sales tax.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion for adjournment was made by Councilman Shawn Schulte, seconded by
Councilman Ralph Bray, and approved unanimously at 6:35 P.M.
