SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Currently, McCall City Code section 3.12.02 states that McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission
members may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.
Idaho Statute 67-6504 allows for members of Planning and Zoning Commissions to serve more than two
consecutive terms, if approved by two-thirds of the governing board(s) that appointed the members.
At the April 3, 2012 meeting, the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission directed staff to prepare
a zoning ordinance amendment to align with Idaho Statute to allow McCall Area Planning and Zoning
Commission members to serve more than two consecutive terms upon two-thirds concurrence by the
governing/appointing board.
At the May 1, 2012 meeting, the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the
zoning ordinance amendment for approval.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only Ordinance No.____, amending Title 3 and 9.
2. Adopt Ordinance No._____, amending Title 3, approve the publication of the summary, and
authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
