SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the June 28, 2012 City Council Meeting, Council directed staff to make some clarifications to the ordinance and continue this item at the June 29, Special Council Meeting. The minor
changes discussed by Council are reflected in the attached ordinance amending Title 5 Chapter 7 Animal Control.
The attachments include a copy of the ordinance with track changes showing the recommended changes, a clean version of the ordinance and the ordinance summary. On page 5 of the clean
version of the ordinance, under section 5.7.04 License Fee and Dogs; Special Provisions, there are two paragraphs that are highlighted. The paragraph highlighted in yellow reflects
the date change of the license renewal. The paragraph highlighted in grey reflects the date change and additional language allowing for either a one or two year license renewal. Staff
requests direction from Council as to which paragraph will be in the final version of the ordinance.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules and read by title only one time only Ordinance No. ____ Amending Title 5, Animal Control, of the McCall City Code.
Adopt Ordinance No. ____ Amending Title 5, Animal Control, of the McCall City Code, approve the publication of the summary, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
