SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Currently, McCall City Code section 3.7.032 requires that Scenic Route applicants provide a pre-application presentation to Planning and Zoning and hold a neighborhood meeting prior
to submittal of a full application. Design Review applications, which often accompany a Scenic Route application, do not require these steps.
City Staff identified the disparity between the Scenic Route and Design Review application procedures which creates a longer review timelines for the Scenic Route review than the Design
Review. In order to streamline the process and promote a more efficient system for economic development, the proposed zoning ordinance amendments would eliminate the pre-application
and neighborhood meeting requirements for the Scenic Route review so the process is identical to Design Review.
At the June 5, 2012 meeting, the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission held a properly noticed and regularly scheduled public hearing and recommended the zoning ordinance amendment
for approval. The City Attorney has reviewed the attached ordinance. The following documents are included:

This zoning ordinance amendment will be presented to the Board of County Commission for consideration at a later date to be determined.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only Ordinance No.____, amending Title 3.
Adopt Ordinance No._____, amending Title 3, approve the publication of the summary, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
