SUMMARY STATEMENT:
McCall City Code (MCC) Title 6 is out of date with the City’s current Public Work’s needs and practices. The last update made to some portions of MCC Title 6 was done in 2010; however
the majority of Title 6 was written and adopted in 1993. Staff is recommending a complete rewrite of this section of City Code. Some examples of issues within Title 6 are as follows:
Chapter 1 – All definitions need to be updated.
Chapter 2 – Tampering with meters and valves
Damage to infrastructure by others
Unauthorized possession of valve keys
Use of domestic water wells within the city limits
Chapter 3 - Use of septic systems within the city limits
Illegal discharges from sumps and area drains
Grease traps and interceptors
Chapter 4 - Interest Paid on Deposits

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Council direct staff to prepare MCC Title 6 revisions and amendments for Council’s review and direction at an upcoming regular Council meeting.
