SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) has been in existence since 2001. In the last two years, there has been only one meeting. Unfortunately, the focus of the TAC has been limited
in scope to solely transportation related issues. The Public Works Department deals with a number of issues not only in areas of transportation, but in water, wastewater, stormwater,
etc. that would benefit from public involvement in the form of a new Public Works Advisory Committee (PWAC).
Attached is a draft of the proposed by-laws for the Public Works Advisory Committee. Staff requests guidance and direction on the draft by-laws for the PWAC.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
To dissolve of the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) and create a Public Works Advisory Committee (PWAC).
