CALL TO ORDER
The June 30, 2011, City Council "Brown Bagel" Meeting was convened at 7:35 A.M. by
Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Bray, Carroll (arrived at 7:37 A.M.), Griffith, Harvey, Koon, Luebbert,
Schulte, and Weber
Absent: Pope and Scrivner
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Bill 2011 -30 (Amending Code by placing Animal Control under Police Department):
Human Resources Director Gail Strope explained that the changes contained in the
substitute bill summary in the packet placed the Animal Shelter budget under the Police
Department as well as the oversight of the Division itself.
Resolutions RS2011 -12 and RS2011 -13 (insurance broker contracts): the Council
wanted to see the bid tabs on these. Mayor Eric Struemph asked Interim City Administrator
/ City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus to try to explain how the bids were scored by the
selection committee before the Council votes on these on Tuesday night.
Councilwoman Carrie Carroll stated she will not be at the July 5 City Council meeting and
asked if another Council Member could please make her report on the Administration
Committee. Councilman Mike Harvey stated he would be happy to do that.
