SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This project consists of:
4-inch water main replacement (upgrade to 10-inch main) and stormwater infrastructure improvements on Third Street, between Colorado and Washington Streets.
Water service improvements along the east side of Third Street between Bruneel Tire (615 N. 3rd) and Ray Woods Properties (601 N. Third Street)
This infrastructure work is prerequisite for complete streetscape (sidewalk, curb gutter, trees, lighting, etc) improvements planned to be completed in Spring/Summer 2013 as part of
the Idaho Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG-12-11-16).
Because the cost of the construction contract for this project will be less than 75,000, informal bidding was conducted. All bids will be opened September 24, 2012.
A complete list of bids received and a recommendation for award of contract will be made by staff at the City Council meeting. A copy of the project plans and draft contract is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Issue a “Notice of Intent to Award a Construction Contract” for the project, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents
