SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The lift station located at the Timberlakes Condominiums is 40 years and is in need of replacement. This lift station serves not only the condominiums but a number of homes that are
located within the City’s sewer service area. Approximately 70% of the flow is generated from these homes.
This project consists of the removal of the lift station and the construction of 213 linear feet of gravity sewer line and associated appurtenances.
Because the cost of the construction contract for this project will be less than $75,000, informal bidding was conducted. All bids will be opened September 26, 2012.
A complete list of bids received and a recommendation for award of contract will be made by staff at the City Council meeting. A copy of the project plans and draft contract is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Issue a “Notice of Intent to Award a Construction Contract” for the project, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents
