SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The mission of the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) to the City of McCall is to identify and promote a unifying policy for environmental stewardship and sustainability within the
City of McCall departments and the community.
The EAC has drafted the attached City of McCall Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Policy for adoption by resolution. The purpose of this Policy is to encourage the purchase of products
and services by the City of McCall that minimize environmental and health impacts to the greatest extent possible; however the Policy does not require the purchase of environmentally
preferable products if they do not perform adequately for their intended use or are not available at a reasonable price in a reasonable period of time.
This Policy has been reviewed by City of McCall department head staff with no objections. Attached is the Resolution to adopt the proposed Policy.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Resolution 12-21 adopting the City of McCall Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Policy and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
