SUMMARY STATEMENT:
For the past several years, Public Works has had to find storage space (A-1 Storage, CTR) for several pieces of equipment (water truck, street sweeper, roller, boom truck) not used during
the winter. With the addition of the heavy equipment used for snow removal, space is not available at the Public Works facility. The equipment needs to be kept dry and secure until
March 31st of next year.
Adequate space is simply no longer available at the Public Works facility to adequately keep all the equipment under cover and enclosed. Heated space should also be available at the
Public Works shop to keep the equipment used for winter snow removal warm during the night for reduced fuel costs during startup and reduced wear and tear on moving parts.
The cost of the lease for all three (3) storage units is $386 per month or $2,005 for the five and one-half month term. This item has been included in the budget.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Lease from A-1 Storage to City of McCall – Public Works and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
