APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 0
2010 ROAD PROGRAM - TENNYSON ESTATES
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously entered into
a contract with Oswald Enterprises, Inc. for TV inspection and cleaning of stone sewers
on a portion of the Tennyson Estates 2010 Road Program Project in an original contract
bid amount of $11,550.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, CME Associates, has
advised the Governing Body that a modification to said contract is necessary to reflect the
change of certain item quantities and to add certain supplemental work; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has advised the Governing Body that
said modification was unforeseen at the time of the preparation of plans and
specifications and the bidding for the project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has recommended that the contract
with Oswald Enterprises, Inc., be modified in accordance with Change Order No. 1, (See
attached Change Order 41), providing for a net increase in the original contract in the
amount of $1,291.50; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the attached Change Order No. 1 and the
recommendation of the Borough Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
That Contract Change Order No. 1, attached hereto and made a
part hereof, resulting in a net increase of $1,291.50 in the overall
contract price, resulting in a revised contract price of $12,841.50,
is hereby approved.
2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to
execute Change Order No. I based upon the recommendation of
the Borough Engineer.
3. That a copy of this Resolution and a fully executed copy of Change
Order No. 1 be forwarded to CME Associates for distribution to
Oswald Enterprises, Inc..
