SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On March 8, 2012 City Council reviewed the recommendations on new speed zones for SH 55 presented by Public Works and directed staff to prepare an ordinance adopting those recommendations
as follows:
The 25 mph zone is to be extended to the Knowles & Zachary Roads
The 35 mph zone is to be extended to Forest Trails & Mile High Drives
The 45 mph zone is to be extended to the western City limits
A map is attached indicating the existing and proposed speed zones.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules and read by title only, one time only Ordinance No___
Adopt Ordinance No.____, approve the publication of the summary, and authorize Mayor to sign all necessary documents.

City Council reviewed the speed study completed by Public Works and directed staff to submit a formal request to ITD to lower speed limits on SH 55 between Boydstun Street and Club
Hill Drive.

City Council reviewed the August 3, 2010 speed study conducted by the Idaho Transportation Department on Highway 55 near Club Hill Road.
