SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Idaho Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Pedestrian Curb Ramp Program is a state-administered program that provides funding for projects to address pedestrian curb ramps on the
state highway system. The goal of the program is provide safe and easily accessible facilities for pedestrians with disabilities while allowing local jurisdiction flexibility in meeting
the required standards. The City of McCall Streets Department received $50,000 in 2011 from this program, and wishes to seek additional funding to address high priority access points
(see attached assessment for McCall from the ITD ADA Transition Plan-2012). The exact locations of the new curb ramps will be determined based on available funding. Applicants are required
to have completed a self-evaluation and transition plan in order to be eligible for this funding.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
