SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Centennial Committee has proposed the installation of a new pocket park on the corner of Third Street and Railroad Avenue to commemorate McCall’s 100th year of incorporation.
City Council on June 9, 2011 approved the Centennial Park project. The construction for this project was conditioned upon the McCall Centennial Committee having adequate funding.
Public Works updated City Council about the meeting held on February 21, 2012 between the McCall Centennial Committee and City staff. At that meeting the Centennial Committed updated
City staff on fund raising efforts. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for March 20, 2012 at which preliminary construction plans will be reviewed for Phase 1 (curb, gutter, storm drain).
A draft construction schedule is attached and the preliminary construction plans with a estimated cost estimate will be presented to City Council at their meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
None required. City Staff will give a status update of this project to City Council.
