SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall City Code grants the authority to the City Council to establish a schedule of permit fees charged by the City related to building. The City Council last adopted a schedule
of building permit fees on May 12, 2005. The City of McCall building permit fees have been equivalent to the building permit fees charged by the State of Idaho Division of Building
Safety’s (Idaho DBS) Building Permit Fee Schedule, and Idaho DBS updated the fee schedule for 2011.
The City’s building permit fees should match the fees of Idaho DBS. A supplemental sheet to the Resolution is provided to show the current fees, proposed fees, and percent change in
fees. Idaho Code 63-1311A states that a public hearing is not necessary when the fee increase is less than five percent (5%). The Resolution and schedule of permit fees will become
effective May 1, 2012.
The City attorney has reviewed the attached information.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Resolution 12-08 for the increase in building fees and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
