SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Council may wish to provide general direction to the Local Option Tax Commission regarding priorities for FY13 Local Option Tax funding. The Commission has received 34 applications,
requesting a total of $709,933 for FY13. The FY13 revenue forecasts for the renewed lodging tax are estimated to be $225,000.
The Local Option Tax Commission will review the applications and develop a recommendation to the Council on April 30, May 1, and 2, 2012. The Commission’s recommendation will be presented
to the Council during the Council budget work session on June 1, 2012.
The FY13 LOT applications have been provided to the Council. The deadline for applying for LOT funds is April 20, 2012. Attached is a summary of the applications that had been received
as of noon on April 20, 2012. The summary will be updated if there are any additional applications received.
